Englewood Public Works to present plan to fix drainage issues

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Replacing old pipes, recreating a natural drainage-way and giving residents money back for flood-proofing their homes are among the findings in a new study addressing Englewood’s drainage system.

That study will be presented to the Englewood City Council during Monday night’s meeting.

Sinkholes and flooded basements in recent years demonstrate a growing problem for the city: Excess rainwater is causing problems for the city’s drainage system.
