According to the Colorado Department of Transportation Website, you can expect major traffic and delays this weekend along C-470.
- Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15 from 8pm-8am westbound C-470 will be closed from Broadway to Santa Fe to replace damaged concrete panels. Detour: Exit Broadway westbound off-ramp. Turn right onto northbound Broadway, proceed north to County Line Rd. and turn left. Continue on County Line Rd. to Santa Fe Dr. Turn left onto southbound Santa Fe Dr., then turn right onto the westbound C-470 on-ramp.
- Friday, February 14 starting at 9pm until Monday, February 17 at 5:30am the westbound C-470 off-ramp to Wadsworth will have a single right lane closure in place. This closure is necessary to complete drainage activities on the off-ramp. There will be no detour as traffic will be able to access all directions of Wadsworth via the off-ramp during the single-lane closure.
To eliminate more than 20 extended nighttime closures and additional construction for detour routes, CDOT will conduct a weekend-long single lane closure on eastbound C-470 between University Blvd. and Quebec St. to replaced damaged concrete panels.
Conducting full and single lane closures will remove the need for additional nighttime closures to create detour routes for motorists to maintain full access during paving operations. This will decrease confusion for the traveling public while increasing safety for motorists and construction crews.
