Santa Claus is coming to town! There’s nothing like a Santa sighting to get you feeling all jolly and merry. We’ve put together a list of a few places you can see Santa this weekend. Some events are free and some are paid but they’ll all will help put you in the holiday mood.
Once a year Colorado Parks and Wildlife invite resident and nonresident anglers to fish for free in Colorado. This weekend, June 1st and 2nd, you can head on out to one of the states many fishing spots and spend the day outdoors enjoying the cold and warm water fishing opportunities that Colorado has to offer.
Don’t worry if you are not sure where to go, what you need or how to get started. The Colorado Parks and Wildlife website has got you covered. there you will find fishing reports, a fishing atlas, a guide to fishing with kids and so much more helpful information.
Some fishing spots in and around Littleton to take your kids are:
- Ketring Lake
- Bufflehead Lake
- Eaglewatch Lake
- Redtail Lake
- Ladybug Lake
- Blackrock Lake
The weather looks great and the cost can’t be beaten so why not give it a try.

This is the 3rd year for this event which usually draws 50+ cars but they anticipate an even bigger turnout this year. All makes and models of cars are welcome. There is a $20 admission fee to the show with all of the proceeds going to the Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation. The charity is run by police officers for police officers and the organizers are extremely impressed by the integrity of charity and all of the great work that they do. Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation is the charity that people are asked to donate to when there is a line of duty death. It’s free for spectators to attend the show but they are also welcome to donate if they’d like.
There is one Grand prize drawing for the first 20 cars that show up so get there early if you can. In addition, there will be raffles for car washes, automotive shops, Goldberg Brothers giveaway, Reel factory giveaway, Reel Performance giveaway, dog training, and a 52eighty distillery bottle giveaway.
The event would not be complete without some great food and live music. Tay’s Hot Dog Cart, Kona Ice Cream and Wing Wagon Grill will all be serving their delicious food today.
This is the first of many auto shows that are happening throughout the summer.
