DENVER — After a warm weekend, Mother Nature has turned a cold shoulder to Colorado! Temperatures tumbled behind a strong cold front yesterday and while today won’t be as cold, temperatures are still well below average.
We’ll see highs in the upper 40s to near 50s degrees this afternoon. Along with the cold, we’ll also get some moisture. We saw some light snow overnight but the roads are mainly just wet for the morning commute. We picked up about an inch of snow near Denver, with 2 to 4 inches from Westminster north to Fort Collins. Accumulations of 8 to 16 inches can be expected in the mountains above 10,000 feet and will stay the heaviest in the mountains north of I-70.
