After decades of giving tens of thousands of dollars to area charitable causes, the Rotary Club of Littleton, founded in 1922, is celebrating one of its most successful fund-raising efforts ever.
On Tuesday evening, March 19th, the club held a celebration dinner after raising $100,000 in December 2018. That effort was sparked by a $50,000 anonymous gift to the Littleton Rotary Foundation if club members matched that amount, which they did. This brought the Foundation fund balance in the Foundation to approximately $990,000.
At the celebration dinner at Pinehurst Country Club, Littleton Rotary Foundation President Paul Parish MC’d the event to include former Club President Belinda “B” Bianchi and the history of the Rotary Club of Littleton. Current Club President Bill White, whose efforts led to the anonymous $50,000 challenge grant, introduced the donor, and incoming Club President Steve Tautz talked about his vision for Rotary as the club approaches its 100th anniversary in 2022.
